How this conversation is handled

A note before we begin. This is a private conversation with an AI assistant, here to talk about faith, life, and anything on your heart. What you share is kept confidential and used to support you and to help this ministry care for people like you. It is not counseling or emergency help — if you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to a crisis line right away (in the US, call or text 988; elsewhere, contact your local emergency services).

Who you're talking to

You are chatting with an AI assistant provided by Envoy Mission Inc (“Envoy”) on behalf of the ministry that offers you this chat. Envoy operates the technology; the ministry offers it to you.

What we collect

  • Your messages and the assistant's replies in this conversation.
  • Signals we derive from the conversation to understand and serve you better — such as the topics you raise, the language you use, and where you are in your spiritual journey.
  • Contact details only if you choose to share them — for example, if you ask to be connected with a real person for follow-up. You do not have to provide any personal details to chat.

We use approximate location (country/region, from your connection) but do not store your raw IP address.

Why we use it

  • To have this conversation with you and respond helpfully.
  • To help the ministry understand the people it is reaching and follow up well with those who want it.
  • To keep the service working and improve it.
  • To share what these conversations show — with the ministry offering this chat, with supporters and donors who make it possible, and in materials that describe our work (including fundraising and reaching prospective supporters). Before any conversation is shared beyond the ministry, we remove contact details and anything that could identify you, and our automated review withholds any conversation it judges could be traced back to a specific person. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your conversation to train AI models on an identifiable basis.

How your conversation may be shared

The ministry that offers you this chat can see the conversations that happen through it, so they can understand and care for the people they serve.

We may also share conversations more broadly — for example, to show donors and supporters the impact of this work, or in materials about Envoy Mission. Before a conversation is shared beyond the ministry, we remove your contact details and check it for anything that could identify you; our automated review holds back any conversation that names a specific place, group, or situation that could point to who you are. Conversations that do not clear that check are not shared — unless you choose to share yours.

Envoy Mission keeps and owns the record of these conversations so it can operate, study, and describe this ministry over time. This does not take away the rights you have over your own information, described below.

Choosing to share your story

If you would like your conversation to help encourage others — even one our automated review would normally hold back — you can choose to share it. Sharing is entirely optional: you can keep chatting without sharing, and you can email us at hello@envoymission.org to share your story, or to change your mind at any time.

Sensitive information

Conversations about faith and belief can include sensitive personal information. By continuing to chat, you understand that this information will be handled as described here.

Where your information is kept

Your conversation is stored securely on Envoy's systems in the United States.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request or ask a question, contact us at hello@envoymission.org.

This is not counseling or emergency help

The assistant offers spiritual and informational support. It is not professional counseling, medical, mental-health, or emergency care, and is not a substitute for them. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a crisis line right away (in the US, call or text 988; elsewhere, contact your local emergency services).

Children

This service is intended for adults 18 and older.
